I have a new 10' cutter and need to fill gear boxes. Manufacture says use 90w oil. At the store, they sell 80w-90w and also 90w-145w. Which weight should I use? I checked at TSC and they sell Traveler. Is it a good gear lube?

...will operate at higher temps... but don't try to brush cut @ -30 below zero... go to the other flavor... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Really, either would be fine, but I use the 85or90w145 for the extended/higher temp range... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I seen some manufactures recommend 85w-140 or OO ep grease. The 85w-140 will provide better protection if you run continously like 4-8hrs? if not i'd run 80w-90 till i had oil leaks then use 85w-140 or EP 00 grease..
