Ok,
Gear drive baler= lots of repairs
Chain drive tiller= no repairs other than a leaky gasket.
Both have a fairly high rpm, high vibration job.
Both have variable impact type loading.
If the tiller chain were going to break, it would have done so already. It's been through roots, trash, limbs, even a tire with no injury.
