My 2006 Husqvarna is getting tired (1800 hours), transmission will not reverse well. I could buy a new ZT Toro 50 inch for about 6k. My brother reminded me I still shpuld be able to buy a mid mount mower for my GC2410. I also need the three bin bagger setup-cant do without that now.

Has anyone bought one recently for the GC2400, GC2600, GC2410 or GC 2610 recently? Does it have a bagger option?

How well do these tractors treat your lawn if you use it to mow? Does it pack the soil down?

I would like to just have one tractor to maintain-if I have to replace it I should be able to use the same implements for the new 1700 series.

I use mine for everything, don't have any other mower. Yes, it does seem to pack down the soil, but I don't think it's horrible -- I do have lots of clay around, so that may be part of the issue where it seems packed hard in a couple of places. I use turf tires all the time, BTW.

Yes, I should think you'd still be able to get a MMM for the 2410, unless M-F has "dropped" MMMs for older models -- you'd have to check with a dealer for that. In any case, I believe your 2400series uses the same MMM as mine, the M-F #2325. Guess you could just look to see if that model is still being made.

I will say that mine does a great job mowing, IMO -- much better than the push mower I used for too many years! It also changed my mowing time from 4-1/2 hrs to about 1-1/2 hrs... and actually uses LESS fuel than the 2-stroke Suzuki-engined push mower I had!

I'm not sure if M-F ever had a bagger option for their MMM, however. On mine, I just removed the "flapper-damper" thing on the exit chute and it does a reasonable job of just scattering the clippings -- I don't seem to get any large build-ups. In the fall, I have a DR Power Lawn & Leaf Vac thing I use for the hordes of leaves I get.

Update -- just looked on the M-F site -- Nope, looks like they've superseded the 2325 with newer models -- but just Googling "2325 Mower" turned up a number of them available at several places (I assume used).

model 2326 is 60 inch drive over MMM deck. works just fine on gc2400 (mine),gc1710,gc1723,gc1725m. actually just mounted my neighbors on his 1725m 2 weeks ago and mine goes on/off every 10 days or so.
my own deck (bought new Oct 2020) has been on all these models, pretty much only gc series its not been on is the 2300.

there is no stock bagger option.

Thanks, Dave -- good to know, in case mine ever gets really worn out and needs to be replaced.

Wow, prices...! I think I paid $1500 for mine, used, but with only about 6 hrs of use on it -- still looked shiny & new. But that was back in 2009.....

in October 2020 my brand new 2326 was 2500$ and tax. pretty sure gone up since then. good mower though, the 1/4 inch thick blades got a lot of rotating mass. I bought new set in 2021 and keep one set sharpened and ready to put on.
I just yesterday got a new set to replace the ones from October 2020.
at some point no sense sharpening as it just mows messy.

I can agree with that. My set that came with the mower same year are chipped in places and even with sharpening they are doing a lousy job. Just received a new set myself. I will try the set I got in 2021 before I put on the new ones.
