gc2410 cruise control

hi, i'm wondering if anybody has had to adjust their cruise control assembly. mine always backs off immediately, a little bit, and then continues to back off so that i have to reset it so regularly that its really not a cruise control.

has anyone else had this problem, dealt with it?

I have a gc2300 and mine does the same as your's.I've tried tightening the nut up that tightens the pads that are supposed to keep it at a set speed but mine just keeps doing the same as your's.So I haven't gotten that figured out yet as to how to get it working.I just put up with it and use my foot as the cruise.I've gone on a mile long road trip and it sure would be nice if it worked.Sorry I can't help you out. 1 nut underneath tightens it, just above the tire.
Mine was loose like yours.

I've tightened up that nut super tight { to the point where you can't move the lever} I had to back off just a bit in order to move the lever and once doing that it does the same thing.It just doesn't hold in the postion that you put it in and then it slowly backs off. I just learnt to use it the way it is.Larry

When mine goes out again, I'll let ya'all know how I fixed it.
