GC2300 Pricing

Hello all, Thanks for all the info. I'm new to the forum and am getting ready to buy my first rig. I have a little under 3 acres to mow and am leaning towards the Massey. I'm in central ohio. One dealer here quoted me 11k with the 60mmm. Two others have quoted me 13k with mower and FEL. I'm gonna go look at one tomorrow and just wondered if what they were asking is in the ballpark and reasonable. How much typically is the FEL added on to a rig? I didn't think it would be more than $1500, but then again I'm in the learning process here, so excuse the ignorance lol. Thanks for any info/suggestions.

Double that and you'll be in the ballpark. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif In 1999, the FEL for my Kubota B2710 was figured at $2,900, but I don't know the Massey model you're talking about.

I was qouted 12750.00 at Hines in Vandalia, OH with
FEL, 48" ROTARY CUTTER and 60MMM if that is any help.

Yeah, that does help. I was quoted 13,000 for the 60mmm, FEL and 60 rear blade at Allpower in Lancaster. Wonder if I can do any better?

We just purchased one after looking at the BX2200. The GC2300 seemed to have more power and run smoother (and my wife really liked "the red one"). We only got the machine and the 60" mmm but the price was 9700 delivered in Middle TN.

tacbat: Is this a Massey cutter and does it have a slip cluth or shear pin? Did you get the weights for the front?

Wondering since I am about to get a cutter as well to pick up the areas where we don't need the finish of the MMM.

I would agree after diving both. Just drove the Massey today and deffinetly liked it better, plus that dealer is a grand cheaper than the one I visited wednesday. 11,999 delivered for 60mmm and FEL. I don't think anyones gonna beat that price here in OH.

Well I went Green but the rotary cutter was a Massey cutter and I am not sure if it was shear pin or clutch. I did not look at wieghts since it would have FEL if weight was needed...I bought a 2210, but it was between the RED and GREEN. The wife is not happy she liked the Red one better. I like the Green dealer better. I am sure both are very good units...Good Luck!
