2010 GC2610
I first want to say thank you to everyone who took the time to answer my questions, and information on what to expect on owning a SCUT. The choice was agonizingly hard. But alas, I have made my decision....this week I am going to purchase my first MF GC2610:thumbsup: The BX was just barely beat out. I was very impressed by both. You BX owners do have a well built unit, the MF looks like it will serve my needs just a little better. It was a long drawn out battle. Many of hours all over the internet and down at the dealerships trying to figure the pros and cons of both. But I must admit... I have enjoyed it:)!! I too will try to help inform people about the MF GC performance and service it brings me. I am purchasing a 4' box blade, and 4' rotary cutter too.
Again, thank you all for all the help!!:drink:

Congrats Wacky! Just remember, if there are no pictures, it doesn't exist. ;) I don't think you will be disappointed with your choice.

Based solely on the construction, I don't understand how anyone, who actually compares both the MF, and the Bota, side by side, from front to back, chooses the Kubota.

I do understand that there are other factors like proximity to the dealer, and the fact that knowing someone who owns a Bota is more likely.

When I chose my first tractor, dealer proximity was equal. The sales people treated me about the same. The specs we very similar. And, the price difference was within $150. So, it all boiled down to the tractors.

After going back and forth between the two dealerships, several times to make the comparisons, it was an easy decision for me.

I went with the BX becouse of the lack of a dealer for massey. I really liked the GC2400 and drove for an hour to find a dealer that had one. When he gave me his packaged price it was two thousand more than the BX. If it would have been even close I think the Massey would have won out. Congrats on your new tractor. Enjoy

I too had the same type of issues. 45min drive, and around 2000 more than the comperable BX. But I like the extra power, the great price and willingness to work with me on the deal!!

While shopping, checked with two dealers for each. Both prices on Massey were better than both prices on Kubota in this area.

Interesting-- When I got my 2310, the price was also $2K over the Kubota... but the 0% made the total purchase price actually slightly less for the Massey, so I went with my gut.... I see where Kubota is now offering 0% for 5 years in my area.

Still very happy with the GC; I still feel it's a bit "heftier," especially in the BH area.

I tend to use my backhoe quite a bit...the better design and ease of connect/disconnect alone made my decision easy...also (although this may have since been addressed) the quirkiness of the Cat. 1 hitch on the Kubota frustrated me. The GC also has faster and smoother hydraulic operation. Now, before all you 'bota owners pounce on me, keep in mind that my comparisons were made in 2004, so Kubota may have stepped up by now. But I doubt it! (Sorry, I couldn't resist.):D:laughing::)
