GC series ?

been looking at the gc2300, i know they have newer 2400,2600. but i like the 2300 better .anyone have one ofthese ? what size disc harrow plows do you have for it ?.does it bog down alot or does it have plenty of torque and what is is good about it

I use my 2310 primarily for snowblowing and mowing. It does both jobs extremely well, in my opinion. I'm also beginning to learn how to use the backhoe/thumb, mostly for firewood processing. I have not tried any ground-engagement implements with it, other than to grade some with the FEL.

For what I've used it for so far, it seems to have plenty of power; I don't often feel the need to run it at "full" RPM.

The GC series is a wonderful estate size tractor designed for property maintenance.

It will run a nice size tiller, and has plenty of power to do the tasks it was made for. But, it is not a farm tractor; very few owners will have used any type of disc or plow on it. If your interested in pulling implements, you really do not want a subcompact.

I use mine for everything and anything that I can think of and no problems.All kinds of power no issues with that Haven't had to use full rpm yet either.I use it for tilling 48" tiller,pulling a 14" one bottom plough,loader work,stump grinding,mowing grass,digging stones,blowing snow.Larry

Disc harrows probably tax any tractor as much as any implement. The problem with the GC sized tractors of any color is weight, and tire size. They will pull an "XB", or Landpride "DH10" series harrow fine, but you may find those harrows lighter than what you are used to, and the results will reflect that. my neighbor has a cub cardet 7200 which is about the same class as a gc2300.he has 2 3 ft disc and 1 howse mower .it runs like a dream but it was abused and has turf tires so it can bog down once the soil gets soften or you plow to deep.

I was loooking for ones with the ag tires r1 only.what size tires does the GC take ? .see the problem is anything bigger is useless unless i go real big like 100-200hp

but the gc is right size for my appplication .someone on another forum said the 1500-1600 series but for my work its to big .plus i really like the look of the gc

There home made sort of.The plow was a old single walk behind horse,ox plow that I picked up at a yard sale[handles and shear where missing,made my own shear from???.] The stump grinder is also homemade I have it posted in TBN under gc2300 getting ready to grind stumps Larry
