Hi guys,

I have finally started to complete the finish grade around the new house. I got a very good contractor to dig a 1.5 acre pond, use the dirt to finish grade, new circle drive in front of house, new ditching for drainage and I get to use his Brillion seeder and 3 pt. spreader on my tractor to plant @ 5 acres of grass and spread fertilizer. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif He said the whole project would take about two weeks, now if it would just stop raining so he can get started /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Anyhow, I am keeping my fingers crossed and anticipating that I may actually have grass to mow one of these days. (Good seat time, you know /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif) I have also started the negotiations for a new MMM to put on my 33, but I have a couple of questions:

1. Does anyone know the part number for the hi-lift Gator Blades to fit the 72" rear discharge MMM? (I'm trying to help the dealer out and I knew this would be the place to ask)

2. What would a set of these blades cost to buy new? He is going to through them in on the deal.

3. Does anyone have the optional arm rest kit installed on their Class II machine? If so, what did you pay? And, how do you like it? (While mowing 5 acres of grass, I think the arm rests would be a must. A cup holder on the class II would be nice as well.............guess I should have bought a bigger tractor for that one. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif) Anyhow, I thought I would try and deal on the arm rests with the MMM.

Thanks for the help,

I know nothing about the blades. For your cupholder, once you get the armrests you can probably find something in a car parts place that can be adapted to work. Maybe a gimbal mounted one from a boat store would work, too. That way it won't spill when you drive over a bump or mow the slope near the pond. Just don't let the tractor fall in with the fishies. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If memory serves me correctly, another member has those same blades on his MMM, can't remember who though. I do know if you call or e-mail Gator, they'll tell you to go to your dealer to get them. They won't even give you a good part number.

Might try a search on Gator in the NH forum and see if it brings up what you're looking for.

I have the armrests and use them during long periods of mowing, otherwise they're folded up.

GATC35,
If I were to guess, I would say that our seats are pretty much the same on the class II and the class III. So, you are probably right in the park with that number.

Thanks for the info. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Inspector507,

I did check the NH forum for Gator Blades. I found several posts (members) talking about the blades and how much they like them, but I didn't find any part numbers.

I also checked the Bator Blade (OregonChain) web-site. They have a PDF file for part numbers, but it lists several different numbers for a "general" 72 inch New Holland deck.

I may try and PM some of the members that I found to have the blades and go from there.

Thanks for the help,

P/N for the 60" is AUB163680
P/N for the 72" is AUB163681

I have them on my 60" REAR discharge - I found that the distribution of clippings was better, but that the eveness of the cut suffered. I run them in the spring to keep up with the fast growth & the fall to mulch the leaves (my leaf blower is jealous). When the grass slows down in the summer, I find I get a better cut with the stock blades (I think they are the "high lift").

Thrci has them on his SIDE discharge 72" and is very happy.

Mine (60") here

Hazmat,

WOW!! Thanks for all the info, that is just what I was looking for! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I guess I need to play with the search function a little more, because I did not find any of those threads.

I any case, THIS SITE IS THE BEST!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks again for the help,

You're welcome.

A couple tips on searching -

1 if you have an idea which catagory - select it - ie NH buying or NH owning/operating
2 select "all" for time frame
3 use "and" instead of "entire phrase"

Of course a searcher does have an advantage if they know there is a thread out there somewhere having read it before... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
