gas tank sealer

Have any of you tried any of those pour in sealers that you put in a empty tank and turn it to coat the inside?If so what brands and any advise?I need to seal a tank on a JD 60 with a few small holes.

Several people on the @agriculture board reported good results with a product available at motorcycle shops. I think it is called KREEM. I believe the product is intended to prevent corrosion, not to fix holes. Holes have to be repaired first.

Regarding your hyd accum note, I guess the accumulator might give a little steering as well as breaks if the engine killed while operating the tractor. It sounds like a good safety feature.

Back in the mid-70's there was a problem with Jeep gas tanks, some engineer thought a piece of cork between the gas tank and the skid plate would help protect the tank, well it didn't. Cork held moisture causing the tanks to rust out. The cheap fix was to expoxy the holes from the outside and then we got a hold of a gas tank sealer used on aircraft, poured it in the tank and slouthed it around, coating the inside. Worked Great.
