Gas tank removal vintage JD 170

Does anyone know the easiest method to remove the gas tank in a JD 170? Tank has sludge in it which keeps clogging the fuel line. So far, I've used compressed air to blow back up the line, but it only works for a few weeks and then clogs again. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

I'm guessing that you remove the seat assembly and the fender pan. That's how you do a 275. When I needed to clean the tank on a project Yanmar I pulled the tank and pressure washed it. Then splashed in some alcohol and dumped it and let it dry in the sun.
