Over the years, I've had more than one pump/pressure type garden sprayer spring a leak for no apparent reason. None of them have been dropped or banged for example. A year or so ago, I was shopping for sprayers again and found a two pack of two gallon ones at that infamous tractor and pet food store for 25 bucks or so.
A few days ago, I loaded one up with grass killer to do a fence line. I now have a trail across my yard where it leaked a fine stream of mix. That trail stops after about 40' so it must have stopped leaking. I pressurized it again and didn't see anything.
This morning I loaded it with weed killer and once charged, I noticed not one, but two very fine streams coming from the radius edge between the side and bottom. They also stopped after a few minutes. I don't get why a less than year old sprayer is leaking or why it stops by itself.
