My detached garage and assorted outbuildings about 1/4" mile down the road.

Any thoughts on some type of vehicle for buzzing back-and-forth?

I've been kind of considering a used Japanese Mini Truck, but I think I'd prefer something electric. I've also seen some kind of cool golf carts w/dump beds, or even something along the lines of a Kawasaki Mule or JD Gator or Kubota side-by-side.

I was kind of thinking around $5K budget.

Now that I've started looking, I'm leaning toward an older Toyota pickup.

Less-expensive than an ATV / Japanese mini-truck, but street legal to get me 3 miles to Home Depot.

I have a Kubota RTV1140 which I use for this purpose plus much more. Wife and Grands use it to run up to cabin on mountain I own behind my house. I figured they would have it when I wanted to join them so was looking at buying another Kubota RTV. Kubota has a RTV400 for less than $5000 new and a RTV500 both gas engines and then the RTV900 has diesel engine. Usually 0% financing with little to no money down and they are workhorses in the diesel engine models. I also considered buying a used Jeep which retains value and can be driven on the highway or a older RAV4 or Or Honda or old Sidekick or Suzuki.
Nail down what all you want to accomplish with what you buy. dollars to spend or monthly payments and value of new with no maintenance or used with possible big maintenance and off road only or on hwy use.
