Hello....new here.
I am having trouble getting the air out of the fuel system since replacing the in line fuel filter. I have noticed that the fuel filter is not full of fuel after turning the engine over, is it supposed to be? I have taken the fuel line off the upstream side of the fuel pump and cranked it to see if the pump is working.
Should it pump during the time the key is turned on or only when cranking the engine?
I was getting fuel to bleed out at the injectors and it was starting and running for a second or two, but now I cannot get any fuel or very little fuel to bleed from the injectors.
Tank is full of new fuel since it has been sitting for about a year or so.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.:)

I'd work forward from the tank to check for obstructions.

Take off the rear wheel and check that fuel flows out of the line on both sides of the filter between the tank and pump.
Replace that filter between the tank and pump, if you haven't done so already.

P.S. Welcome to TBN!

Thanx for the reply.
I have put on a new in line filter and I think that is where the air problem came from?
Should the filter be full of fuel after it is installed. The pump seems to be working . I have taken off the line going to the engine and turned the motor and it seems to be working.
I am going to start at the tank and work towards the engine today.
If there is a post already on this I would appreciate a little help finding it. I am new here and just learning to navigate this site.
Thanx again!

Did you bleed the filter on the engine with the bleed screw yet?
Also, check that the shut-off valve is in the open position.

I know - obvious stuff, but I have to go down the checklist when troubleshooting.
You wouldn't believe how many times I've missed something obvious 8^)

Found the problem.....fuel pump is intermediate..bad in other words.Pump is supposed to pump continuously when key is on and does not. It has gone bad since I started this endeavor and just had a hunch and checked it again.
Thanks for the help.
I will get it running the move on to checking out the belly mower before I have her ready to go.

It's been a while since I had my G5200, but I remember once blowing the fuse to the fuel pump, it's under the dash between the radiator and the mesh grille. I would think that the G6200 is the same. You got a good machine there.
