G3038H Price Check

Hi

Was quoted by a price of 17,999 for a G3038H with FEL. Just wanted to check and see if this was a reasonable price before I pull the trigger.

I'll be using it to replace a finicky '52 Ford 8N that my wife is feels is way too unsafe to operate for a father of 4 young kids (She's probably right).

I'll be using it around our homestead for plowing, brush clearing, mowing, etc.

In March we bought same tractor with gear transmission for $16,900 base price plus $300 for 1 pair of remotes, $50 for worklight, and $350 for filling rear tires. I think hydro adds a $1000 or a bit less.

I can't vouch for the price, but I will say welcome aboard, and that the difference between the 8n and a new HST tractor with a front end loader will blow you away.

First off, welcome to TBN!

I'd say that price is slightly high, but not by much. A local dealer is advertising $16,850 for a shuttle shift G3038 with FEL, and the Hydrostatic models tend to run about $800 more. There are some regional differences, and you can probably reasonably ask them to come down to $17,500 without being unreasonable.

I just picked mine up last friday. Tier4 G3038 (transmission), rear remote, loader, 6' box blade and a VERY nice 18' dovetail trailer w/brakes all for 18,300. I was replacing a mid 40's 8N that suddenly started making some lower engine (rod) noise while brush hogging.
