Fumoto oil drain valve

Yup. They worked great.!! Although they aren't exactly cheap.
.......I actually used them when coolant flushing out Ford 6.0 motors... (you would have had to own, repair them to understand). as well as for oil changes.
.....Never had one leak, and they always worked fine, I attached a hose before opening, and then could drain oil out without spilling a drop or using any tools.

I bought one for my Subaru. Excellent quality. Then I decided there was too much risk of ripping it off in the offroad use that car saw occasionally. It protruded through the aftermarket engine skidplate while the factory plug was slightly recessed. I sold it to another Subaru enthusiast.

I think they are a great idea for the DIY car owner.

Tractors? I think too much risk of tearing it off on something. The factory drainplug will tolerate more abuse.

I have them on diesel pickup oil drains. 15 quarts of oil in a drain pan is difficult to move about without spilling. I save gallon jugs at each change and fill them with used oil next change, never spill a drop. I've gifted some to friends and family with diesel engines and all love them.

Put one on my duramax about two years ago. It's fairly protected, and makes oil changes a breeze. Zero leaking. I don't think I'd bother for a tractor, as oil changes are so infrequent, but I change the oil on my truck around 6k miles, which seems like it's every 4 months or so... I warm it up first, and then crawl under and open the valve. No burns, and pretty fast drain that way. Change the filter once it's cooled off a bit, then top it off and write down the mileage. Done. Seems so much easier than dealing with the drain plug...

I LOVE Fumoto valves, I have them on everything, Tundra, 4Runner, Kubota BX, LAND Rover, Honda Ridgeline.
I can change my oil in a suit!! Get the stubby one.

Amazon has em for about $30

I had them on 3 vehicles, highlander, tundra and Avalon, still have them on the Avalon and highlander but it takes forever to drain almost 8 quarts of oil out of the Tundra. Do a ton of off roading and never had a problem with anything ever getting knocked off on the tundra. Great invention and no mess. Ran one on my Tundra for the past 6 years but changed it back to normal plug last month

They're slow, but my 3 vehicles all have 'em now.
Made up a jug lid with a hose running through it. So I just swap the lid/hose onto empty jug and drain-away.

Just make sure they're closed before adding oil. <sigh>

Change the oil hot and they're not that slow... change it cold and it does take a long time...

Have one on my SUV with a Hemi, 7 quarts. Drains quicker than time to change the oil filter. I'm 75 and still change my own oil. Heard that quick oil change places will not touch them, something about their "Oil changes for dummies" book doesn't tell them about.
