I got off my TN75 last weekend, walked around back and noticed a lot of fluid on the rear part of the tractor. Further investigation showed that diesel was leaking from somewhere. It was getting late and I didn't have much time to troubleshoot. It's still in warranty so I called the dealer Monday. He said that they have encountered had some leakage around the hose that connects the upper tank to a lower one under the fender well. He seemed to think that tightening the hose clamp would probably correct the problem. Me doing something that simple is preferable to having to have it hauled in for them to look at it. I'm just curious if anyone has experienced something similar. Was it a simple fix? I'm hoping this is nothing too serious.

Check/tighten the hose clamp that comes out of the bottom of the top tank. That is probably the source of the leak especially if the tank is full and the tractor is sitting on a non level surface. The good news is, it is easy to access

I'm sure you already checked the fuel cap to make sure it is tight? :D

I've had that happen on my little tractor. Just tighten the clamp and it stoped. I've alsy had the fuel filter crack and start to leak. Not as easy a fix, but it happens.

I don't have a TN ( or dual fuel tanks ).. i have a 7610s... When i had a leak.. it was at the fuel tap.

Good luck.

Other ideas are if you have a return to tank from injector pump... check that line right at the mouth of the tank.

Should the above fixes not do the job of stopping the leak, clean the tank real well and dust with talcum powder and then observe where the leak is. It will show exactly where the leak is with a wet spot.

It is difficult to see where a leak is ocurring as the fluid runs all over the place and I'm often wrong about where it is coming from. The baby powder trick works great!
