Fuel Low Light

I have a trencher and Dozer with no fuel sensing. Other than opening cap or waiting for them to shut off. I am thinking about using an aircraft fuel warning float (FUEL WARNING SYSTEM from Aircraft Spruce) and bulkhead fitting (Banjo TF Polypropylene Bulkhead Tank Fitting, 1/2" NPT Female: Compression Bulkhead Fittings: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific). Then running a simple 12v light on dash. Anyone see any issues with this idea or done something easier.

That would work fine, if you can access the inside of the tank to install the fitting. You can buy adjustable floats and sending units with gauges starting around 45 dollars or so.
