Hi:
I was mowing yesterday and all of a sudden (Might have been at the same time I raised/lowered the 3pt hitch with the mower) the fuel gauge just dropped to E (From maybe 1/2) and the 'Low Fuel' warning light went on. I wasn't low on fuel. Just to check, I filled it up to the brim and the Gauge didn't budge.
The Gauge does come on during the power on self test (Goes up to F then back to E when all the lights come on when you first turn the key) so I'm sure it's the sender/connection to the sender and not the meter itself.
Anyone run into this and had it be something simple like a disconnected wiring connector or something? I looked high and low (without disassembling anything) and couldn't see where the sending unit or the wire to it is located. All I could see was the fuel and vent hose. I suspect disassembly is needed to gain access to these but if so I'll leave that to the dealer since it's still under warranty. I just want to make sure that if it could be
something easy to get at/simple that I check it first.
Also, I haven't checked my fuses but I can't imagine there is a separate fuse on the sender unit and everything else electrical seems to work.
Thanks in Advance.
