Hi, My tractor's fuel gauge is stuck on full, it does go down when power is off, but normally shows full. Thanks for any advice. plowking

Could be either a faulty sending unit or wire to unit is grounding out. Try connecting a new wire from the gauge to sender, this will show up a short, if still shows full, problem with sender. HTH. JJ.

If your fuel tank is easily accessible just unhook the wire to the sending unit on the tank with the key on. If the gauge drops back to empty the problem is with the sending unit in the tank. If the gauge stays on full with the wire disconnected, the wire between the gauge and sender could be grounded.

Thank you for the responces, I'll try it and see if sender is bad. My wife has since told me it never was accurate, at 1/4 tank on gauge, the tank was empty before it stopped working altogether. She keeps track of hour meter for now. plowking
