Is it possible to disassemble and clean the fuel filter on a Deere 2720, or is replacement the only option?

Good question. I am in the middle of nowhere - no roads, mail plane comes once a week. A couple of months ago before I came in I stocked up on mainetenance parts, but when I needed to change the filter, found it was the wrong model. I can wait until Wednesday mail plane, but wondered if there was another option.
In 1960 a 1953 Farmall Super C was brought in using a C-206, landed on the 800' strip and reassembled. In 1986 it was taken out. Here is an article about it - Flights of Lucille

Ah! Huey! l have quite a few hours in difficult places in one of those too, and can still feel one in my gut before I can really hear it coming. Kinda makes you think twice about trading on a whim I bet! That is a really interesting story!

I dunno...IMO it depends what you have for a filter, I dont have a 2x20 so I dont know what your calling a filter...
The filter/strainer in the sediment bowl can easily be cleaned, but on my 3520, the spin on fuel filter is obviously a replace only deal...
