Did yiu change your fuel filter at 50 hrs? The manual doesn't say to. If I can remember it say at 200 hrs but I could be wrong.

I didn't on my B2920 @ 50 hours. The bowl is perfectly clean, I didn't see the need to.

Not unless you see dirt and or have been using questionable fuel, I would not change it. On my B2620 I saw some sediment in the bowl after a year or so, then dumped it and screwed it back on. Around 200 hours, IIRC, I changed the filter as a maintenance item even though no visible sediment was seen.

Just buy one so there is never a question for warranty issues. Keep it on the shelf incase you need it or for the next scheduled change.

On my B3030, it's recommended to clean the filter at 100 and 200 hours with kerosene, then replace at 300. I found the filter to be shabby looking at 200, so I replaced it. In addition to keeping a back up filter, I would also recommend keeping a spare set of oil rings that go into the filter housing. Ice cream happens.
