I don't know, but I hope there is because I'd love one for mine! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

That thought never occured to me...

Do you feel you need one to prevent someone from putting some foreign material into the tank to cause you harm?

Then again, I did not look. Maybe you have a big tractor with a large fuel tank. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Mine only holds 5 or 6 gallons. The locking cap would cost probably three times what the tank of fuel costs.

Now that you got me thinking, maybe I better start taking the keys out of my tractors... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I just found out that the key that fits my Cub Cadet fits all of the other ones on my dealer's lot. I've told him I might stop by and do a midnight trade-up sometime /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I leave my keys in the tractor and car so I know where to find them. Thats one of the attractions of the western PA country side.

Most tractor keys are the same, I have a Yanmar and they only have about 3 or 4 different keys for the 100's of thousands of tractors they have made. I go to John Deere and get replacement keys as they have made a lot of the cuts for them so they have the same key also. I have heard that is just the way it is, with most brands. But just think you can at least take the key out. In the old days we pulled the switch on and pushed it back in to turn it off. No keys at all.

My reason for wanting one is to keep anyone else from Fueling the tractor. I have in-laws and teenagers around and I could just see them grabbing the weedeater gas can and adding it to the tank. (keeps the marriage happy to prevent these type of things. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif ) I also have quite a few nieces and nephews and I've actually found action figures floating in the tank on my truck. (they like to hang out in the garage with me while I putter)

Have a good one,
Dave
