Early December one of the hub's failed. It was the drive spline in the hub. These hub's are manufactured by Nabtesco in Japan and are used on many excavators including Kobelco, Yanmar to name a few so basically most parts are off the shelf(Nabtesco GM9). There is one difference though with the 140's, the planetry gears are a different ratio and are almost like rocking horse poo to get, just got mine last week.
So I took the new gears to a local manufacture who can make them in 2 weeks, they are on CAD and they will be hardened to Rockwell C60 standard.
If you require these gears PM/ email me for contact details. I will not be acting as an agent, you will deal directly with the manufacture.
For me it is well worthwhile to rebuild as new hub's as quoted by Rayco's agent AUD $11000 per side:shocked:. I can buy a remanned JD engine for less. :confused2:
