When I started to load my Deere 970 on the trailer last night I had no clutch. All the linkage is there and it still feels tight. What could have happened?

Not sure if it's the same thing, but this used to happen to my Ford 2000 if it sat for a while. The clutch would stick engaged. To relieve, I'd get the tractor going, power shift to high gear, hold in the clutch, and slam the brakes. Worked every time.

Seemed to work. Thanks.

To prevent this from being a problem, you could tie down the clutch pedal in the disengaged position while storing the tractor. How long was the tractor sitting when it stuck? Sometimes it can happen rather quickly in areas of high humidity or damp areas.
