I'm picking up my 6' HD Frontier Box Blade unit this Saturday - since spring has finally made it to the Midwest I'm looking forward to getting a chance to use it on my acreage.

That being said, I've seen many different posts on uses for box blades in TBN. I'm wondering if someone has a "Usage FAQ" for box blades that they would like to share. The Frontier unit is heavy duty, weighs about 628 pounds and I'm pulling it with my JD4600. Any thoughts and advice you can pass along would be helpful. Thanks!

Isn't the ground still frozen in the MSP area? Or is that "Spring" regardless? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Bob,

If I could be so bold...how much $ did you pay for the Frontier. I'm after a 7'er.

Beenthere -

It IS spring up here - however the local construction folks are saying there's still at least another foot of frost to come out of the ground.

As for the Frontier unit, the 7' are going for about $1139. My 6ft'er was a couple hundred less.
