Can anyone tell me if it is possible to transfer my old front plate weights on my 4040 to the front of a new 5525? The brackets look like they are similar in pics but not sure if the weights would work or even if the weight brackets could be switched so they would for sure mount up. They are 100lb weights. Thanks for the info,
hollow

As costly as 100# weights are you could have a welding shop make some modifications if needed for very little money.

The weights will work. I don't think the brackets will interchange though. Some will fit even though the part numbers are different. The only way to know for sure is to try it.

Thanks guys, tried them out and they actually fit like a glove. Of course Deere wants
$75 for the steel pin that goes in the middle of the support to hold them in place, but working for a machine tool distributor has its advantage. :)
