Tractor
Kubota B2150HSDB 4WD
I used the tractor today for the first time this year. I was digging out a pond and everything was working fine for a couple of hours but then the front loader wouldn't power down for me to stabalise for the rear digger. Normally when pushing the lever part way it powers down and then all the way forward for the float.

It's a Kubota B2150HSDB with LA350 FEL. The hoses move in the power down position but the loader just doesn't do anything. Does anyone know what the problem could be and if it is an easy fix or not?

Thanks in advance.

If there are any quick disconnects, then seperate them and reconnect them. Don't know why, but sometimes this will resolve the problems.

Make sure the lever in your FEL control hasn't come loose. I had a similar issue with my BX22 FEL about a year ago and it was merly a loose nut.

Hi guys

Thanks for the suggestions I tried them both. The lever is fine and I can see the control moving when it is moved. I disconnected and reconnected all three hoses but no difference. When I move the lever in to the down position the hoses and FEL move just slightly and then stop. It's just like a valve opening and closing very quickly. Both the the curl and dump are working fine. I am guessing that it is the valve control which is faulty and that it won't be a cheap item to replace? It only has 1100 hours on it and was working fine for most of yesterday.

Just to prove it is the valve and not something else, could you swap the the hoses, so the up/down is worked by the curl valve?

That way the problem should move to the curl side when you try it [with the hoses swapped] and you will be certain it is the valve, or a part on the valve like the quick disconnect, that is the true problem...after you see the up/down work properly again (of course there would be no float function... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif )

Andy,
Are you sure that there is not another quick disconnect? Sometimes, there are one or two under the tractor next to the transmission, as well as the ones where you unhook the loader.

Andy,
I had a similar thing happen with mine. It turned out that I had inadvertently bumped my 3pt lever and it was stuck in the up position. This can happen with a BH installed. Have you checked that?

Fantastic /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif. That is exactly what had happened. I must have caught it when I was jumping in and out of the seat.

Thank you Greg.

Thanks to all for your suggestions.

Andy,
So far, in the two years that I have owned my tractor I have tried to blame it for some type of failure, such as this. Inevitably, it has been something that I have done to create the "failure"..... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif. I haven't had a single failure yet that wasn't remedied by undoing a bonehead move that I have inflicted on it. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Glad your problem was simple.

Greg
