My goal is to use front forks on my BX24 for hauling relatively light stuff around the property (attachments, brush, pallets). 200--300 pounds capacity will do fine. I'm looking at those advertised on BXpanded but I'm afraid the after market changes my dealer made to the upper edge of the bucket (when he installed my central bucket hook) will not be compatible with the BXpanded set up. I plan on checking with BXpanded. I'm also looking at Paynes clamp on models.
I'm wondering if anyone has any other solution (i.e. some form of quick attach set up).

I use Paynes clamp on forks .
I also made a real quick an easy light and handy set of lite duty slip on forks for the lite and little stuff.
There are pictures of them on the board .

i got a proto lift in an auction that had forks on it. they are for light like under 300 lbs balasted duty on that lift. they are basically some i believe 3/4" flat bar bent to a 90 and have like a j hook on the top and to my surprise one day just looking around to find something i could attach to my bx 24 to make hauling rail road ties around easier. i looked at this machine and pulled them off easily and just dropped them on the top lip of my bucket. they worked just like they were made for it. proto is a manual roll handling hydraulic lift that is made back east probably near or in wisconsin. good luck.

I bought the light duty set advertised on TBN a couple of years ago... they clamp on AND have just enough clearance to work with my Markham Toothbar installed.

I think the toothbar actually makes the set-up stronger because the fork clamp cinches down on the toothbar.

I use the Gearmore screw-on forks. They clamp down very solidly and have been very useful moving boxes as large as 7' x 4' x 2' that I could just not move by myself, even with a mover's dolly.

I have to remove my Gearmore toothbar to put the forks on, but that's only 4 set screws and 1 minute to do.

I have the BXpanded forks and love them on my BX2350. Unless your dealer put a rod across the entire top rail lip of your bucket, I would say you will be OK. But definitely contact BXpanded. Great customer service and fast.

Dealer did put a rod (painted orange) across the entire back of the top lip of the bucket fo reinforcement. Now I'm stuck. Does anybody near Connecticut want to trade a non-modified bucket for my lightly used reinforced BX24 bucket with center hook welded on?
