I was out moving snow with my B6200 Kubota this morning. All of the sudden, the loader would not raise or lower. It works ok emptying and closing, but not up and down. I was wondering if a hydraulic line froze. It doesn't seem probable ... the temperature was about 20F.

I would appreciate any suggestions as to what to check.

Thanks,

Tom

If you got quick disconnects check the fittings to see if they're fully engaged. When my hyd snowplow quits working in one direction or the other that's usually what it the problem is

Tom, Do you have a directional control valve in which might have been turn,
If you should have this valve it maybe located near your seat area.

I found it doesn't take much to lose your hydraulic pressure to your FEL.

I would be most interested in your out come.

Stay safe and enjoy your tractor time. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

DFB's suggestion is the nice easy fix. Hope that's the problem. If it is, you should be able to hear the system pressure relief valve open (scream) when you actuate the loader lift. If you hear the pressure relief valve, then the control valve is delivering pressure to the lift circuit, which narrows down the range of problems. The loader arms could be binding, or the circuit could be obstructed. The quick disconnects are the best places to start if looking for obstructions. Quick connects can be hard to seat. It's a good idea to set down the bucket to relieve any line pressure when disconnecting them. If there is pressure remaining in a line, a quick disconnect can be impossible to seat without manually depressing the ball bearing seat in the male connector.

If the relief valve can't be heard, then there is another type problem present.

I had a the same problem with the FEL on a M5030su I tried every solution to fix the problem. I finally pulled the hydralic filter and it was clean. searching further I found that the wet brakes were coming apart and ever screen in the system was clogged. I had to pull the tractor down and flush the entire system. My local dealer wanted $2300.00 dollars to fix. I did the job my self for a third of the cost.

I had the same problem with my fel it was the quick disconnect fitting just plug and unplug them a few times and it might take care of the problem. I think that what happens is that if they are not seated right they get air locked.
