Tractor is LS XG3032

My front end loader curl cylinders are not working like there suppose to. They work some but are struggling to curl at all positions when the loader is at various heights. The curl cylinders going down seem to work best when I have the joystick in the down and right position at the same time. They do not work at all when the loader is all the way up. Though I can see the lines move with pressure at all times when I move the joystick.

These are symptoms of the loader with out any load other than a empty heavy skid steer bucket. I noticed with the light weight forks that the curl cylinders seemed harder to operate going down. Meaning the heavy protruding weight of the skid steer bucket helped pull out the cylinder rods is my take.

The lift cylinders seem to be working just fine.

I am not low on hydraulic fluid, There is no pickup screen. I have not yet changed the hydraulic filter. All other hydraulic functions on the tractor are working fine.

Start by checking out the quick connects. They can pop out and cause all kinds of weird stuff.

With the engine off, move the joystick lever to release all the pressure. Then pull each quick connect out and reconnect, mainly the ones for the dump/curl and see if it fixed anything.

Good idea, I got hopeful that would fix it but it did not :/ Any other ideas?

This did happen after I reconnected the loader recently. After reconnecting the loader it would only lift a few feet up. I noticed that I was pretty low on hydraulic fluid, low enough to stop the loader from being able to lift. After filling up the hydraulic reservoir the loader improved but is still having problems.

Correction to what I said in my previous post. I am also having problems with my lift cylinders though they are working better than the dump/curl cylinders.

I had a problem with the Kubota lift/curl on our M59 a few years ago. First it got hard to move the joystick in some positions and then the cylinders stopped responding.
The problem was that the joystick wasn't connected directly to the loader control valves on that model. The valve is a few feet away and run by a system of bell cranks, push-pull cables, and monkey motion.
I opened the access panels, very dirty inside....so cleaned and lubed every time I remembered to do so and it settled back down and is working fine now.
Hope yours is as easy....though it sounds like it may be different.

This may be a dumb question but are you 100% certain the lines are properly connected? Reason for asking is if both lift and curl are not working properly and problem started after reinstalling the loader. Working better with joystick operating both functions also makes me ask the same question.

The loader connections are properly connected, I disconnected and reconnected them.

I also just replaced one of the two cables for the joystick. The one I didn't replace did seem a little sticky so I strated hosing it down with WD-40. I do not think that is the related to the problem though. I wonder if something happened because I got low on fluid?

By properly connected I was referring to are both lines for the lift lower connected to same spool and same for curl dump not are the quick disconnects fully connected.

Can you connect the “lift“ quick connect to the “curl“ hose?

Then, if the curl works well when operating the “lift” control on your joystick, you have at least narrowed down your issue…

I have had a problem on a forklift with tilt cylinders before where the piston on one cylinder came undone from the rod as there were two cylinders the action still worked without load but once loaded the fluid bypass through the faulty cylinder I would recommend disconnecting the cylinders from the fork carriage and see if both opperate without the carriage pushing the faulty one

Double check and make sure something isnt connected wrong.

Take a picture of your quick connects at the valve....then physically trace the hose and see where it goes. Then give us the details for all 4....

For example: Say something like "top left connect in the pic goes to base end of lift cylinders, top right goes to rod side lift cylinders, etc" do that for all of them
