Front electric pto

My kubota b6100E's mower is powered by a belt that runs off of a front electric pto. The pto recently started making a high pitched sound and the belt stops turning. When the pto is off it still spins freely only when on and under full throttle does it seem toe seize up..any suggestions of what this might be?

Unless it stalls your tractor when the mower stops and it makes the noise.. I'd guess it was slipping.. not 'siezing up'.
