Has any one had troubles on their John Deere 5205 front bucket hydraulics? My valve seems to have a "snap" at a certain location when raising. Do you need to re-lease pressure before removing the valve? And is it something a amateur mechanic can handle?

I would check all of the linkage between the joystick and directional for binding before doing anything else.

Yes you must have all the pressure released before attempting to remove the valve.

With engine off and the loader on the ground do you still have the snap action?
