Front axles pinion bevel gears Kubota L3350DT

My left front axle bevel gear assembly slips going up a hill or on a heavy load making loud bang-bang sounds, and its very scary. I took it apart and found out the pinion bevel gear is badly worn and some areas are chipped. See attached photos for your perspective. It turns out Kubota discontinued the gear assembly (spiral ring gear & pinion bevel gear) part #32580-95242. I have tried several salvage yards around the country with so far, no luck. Does anyone know a machine shop that capable of hobbing/milling new gears from the old parts?

I had a similar problem years ago on a l2850 (I think I even posted my problem on this site) anyways I've got a brand-new bevel gear that didn't fit my 2850 stored away somewhere. I'd be happy to check the part number if I find it and I kept the packaging. So I stopped being a keyboard commando and I ended up going to a kubota dealership and they found me the correct one, it was discontinued and they actually had a replacement part# that fit perfectly. Thank you for responding Jeff. The first thing I did was contacting Messick's Kubota but they referred me to a few salvage yards which I got nothing out of it. If your stored part number matches mine, I'll be happy to take it off your hands. Anybody else who has some old parts lying around that fit my Kubota model is welcome.

Ok unfortunately I can't get you a part # here's what it looks like it's 12 larger teeth with a 22 stamped on it, when I rebuilt the front end the internal spline teeth worked but would bind externally locking it up. I wouldn't be surprised if kubota didn't supercede your part # with something else just a pia finding it. Couldn't imagine the cost of making one. Good luck.

The 12 teeth match but they look straight down wheres mine are a little spiral around the ring gear. The pinion bevel gear has larger diameter on one end than another. Pictures attached.

Yep looks very similar to the correct one I eventually ended up getting. I think the stamped number 22 is related to the pitch? Good luck in your search. I'll reemphasize in my searches for various kubota parts the part# was hopefully superceded with something else. I have older parts manuals for both my kubotas(they are 30+ years old) most part#s are superceded so I never use them to order parts. If it was me I'd call around looking for a knowledgeable parts department it doesn't hurt and I believe most dealerships will ship parts.

Ok, my final post I looked through my old parts manuals, (I had some spare time and like a challenge) I'm pretty sure the bevel gear from a L3750 or a L4150 will fit but don't hold me financially responsible. Might have better luck calling salvage yards or ebaying that. (Just check return policies).

No prob, I had the parts manuals lying around, I am curious if you found a replacement bevel gear. It can be frustrating trying to find parts for older kubotas, especially with all the superceded part #s and the fact kubota doesn't stamp the part #s on anything. I'm assuming part #32580-95242 is the same as what was listed on my manuals for a 3750 and 4150? Quick side note a few of the maintenance items such as air filter and fuel filter are the same for a 2850 and a 4150.

No, I've not found the parts as yet. The dealers around Seattle area turned up disappointed. I've gone as far as Watrous Salvage in Canada just a few days ago. They said they'll get back to me, but it's been quiet. I'm aware of the parts I need being compatible with 3750 & 4150. I normally search for Kubota parts on their own web site: Kubota | Parts - Agriculture & Construction Equipment and click on Illustrated Parts List then enter the model number. Their parts list is more up-to-date than the published manuals.
At this point, a specialized machine shop is imminent. My property is hilly which requires 4WD at all times.
