My friend just bought a RTV 500 based on my recommendation. I think he'll like it since it will mainly be for work.

The quality of the RTV's is second to none. Outstanding!!!

We enjoyed driving the 500 and 900. The 400 was rough around the edges. The air cooled 1 cylinder really vibrated the seat and engine was noisy. My single cylinder Polaris 400 ranger is much quieter. And smoother. The 500 runs like a sewing machine! Very quiet and refined. It was the 500 or nothing.

Hopefully Kubota will upgrade the 400 with some nvh improvements. The 500 spoils u!

The 500 is an impressive unit. If Kubota would put a long travel suspension and a bit more ground clearance to the 500 it would be an awesome piece.

It is an awsome machine..A few more HP and what Dixie said about the suspension and GC...It is a worker, and I loved mine...I miss it sometimes.

I hear you on the missing it....I miss that hydro tranny already when I'm driving up on the trailer....I don't care for the foot on the brake and throttle maneuver the Gator takes to load up....not an issue if the trailer had a stop on the front but without one it will make your butt pucker

I know what you're saying...I did a maint on the sportsmans club Cub Volunteer last weekend...The throttle delay ( like an old school bad accelerator pump) and no engine braking makes them a bit scary loading..Dont have that with my RTV1100 and never had it with my RTV 500...Very predictable machines in every way.

I miss the size of my 500..Could put that thing anywhere...The 1100, not so much.

I have had my 500 for a year now and am very pleased with it. In low four wheel drive it will pull whatever you have attached to it or just dig a hole. Mine is used for about 80% work and 20% hunting. I have gave it a name of "Mr. Moto". It could be quieter or faster and maybe a few more things but it probably would not have the Kubota quality and durability that I am used to for the last 20 years. Very pleased.

Great to hear! I think he'll really enjoy his. He has plenty of work for it!
