Free Spyware Software? Windows Vista

Agree riptides, I do run all my stuff thru routers and thru the firewall in the router firewall. I am going to keep this current setup for now and see if I have any snags, and then maybe inquire to MS Essentials. For the most part everything was really great and I found very few issues when I ran all of the multitude of anti-virus and spyware programs. My wife and I have been in internet ruts (this is good) we go to our select websites and that is about it.

Just yesterday I was hit by the "Security Tool" virus. SpyWaredoctor found all the offending files but in order to get rid of them, I had to pay the $30 for the down load. Malwarebytes was then installed and got rid of this Trojan type virus for free. This virus thing actually disabled my Panda AntiVirus and was invisible to the current Panda tools. It would hijack every page in a second so I had to down load everything in safemode. After my subscription is up, I will definitely purchase either SWD or Malwarebytes.
