Anyone know if there is somewhere to get soft copies of Deere Owners manuals? My fianc馥 bought be a new D130 and I like to keep soft copies of all the manuals I get for major things around the house (washer, fridge, cars, etc.). However, all I can find on the deere website is a link to purchase a hard copy for $20. That seems pretty insane to me. Spend $2k on a tractor and have to spend an extra $20 to get an extra manual. There has to be a be a solution that I just can't find.......right?

Try JD's website and see if they have it online. That would mean you would have to print it out page by page. Check ebay too.

Yeah I checked their website and they had nothing. Maybe it is the fact that the d-series is new this year?

And I don't want to print a copy. I'd like a soft copy that I can archive.

Didn't she get a manual when she purchased the mower?

Twenty bucks isn't bad for a manual.
If you're looking for a bootleg copy, I doubt anyone on TBN would be willing to help you.
Looks like you need to ante up the $20 or print a copy off the Deere site.
You could also try eBay...

I agree that $20 isn't bad if I wanted a hard copy printed and delivered to me.

She did get a manual. That's not the issue. And I would be happy to save a copy of the deere website, but there isn't a copy on the deere website to be printed.

What I am after is a pdf of the manual. Pretty standard for every company to offer them via download for free. Go to the simplicity site and they've got them right there.

Deere doesn't...but you might be able to get to get that manual on a CD-ROM, if you want a .pdf.

If you got a hard copy with the tractor surely you or someone you know has scanner. Scanner it and save it as a PDF. If you dont have a scanner I'll bet you can get images scanned at a printshop and delivered as a PDF.

Deere wants your money. Go to John Deere Ag - New Equipment: Technical Publications - Publications Search for info on the D130 manuals.

Right, there is. Scan the copy she received but don't sell it as it would be copy infringement (I'd think). Or would you rather they sold the tractor for $2020, and give you two "free" copies? ;)
I didn't think so. :)

For those who care, I was able to email deere and they sent me the PDF version of the manual.

Like I said all along, all I wanted was a pdf and they delivered. Thanks much to deere.
