Four wheel drive not engaging

MX5200 HST 4x4 suddenly stopped engaging.
Nothing feels different when moving the lever.
Any input before I go any further?

The easiest thing to do is to crawl under the tractor and inspect the linkages. Have someone move the lever as you inspect underneath.

More often than not, it's a sheared roll pin on the lever as sometimes it can be hard to engage and people tend to force those levers.

Thank you; I’ll double check that but fairly certain the roll pin is good and you can feel the lever hitting home as usual.

The first place to check is the front axle drive shaft where the axle pinion gear meets the shaft. The splines and splined couplers are a notorious problem with most all makes of tractors. If you think the engagement lever is working and feels right, check the front coupler.
