Foton tractors

I got a friend that currently own a Foton-550 model and he is
talking good aboutit.
Since I want to buy a new tractor for myself, I contacted company selling Foton and
I found out they got reasonable price. I wonder if people here know
about Foton (Chinese tractor) and what I should think about it
Is there good quality for the price and all?

Hello (astravlad), and welcome to TBN. I have a Jepe (Foton) 354 and other than a few things, very pleased with it. I bought it last spring and have around 200 hrs on it, most were backhoe and front loader working hrs. The engine has way more power than the Koyker loader can handle (bent bucket) but I really do push the tractor for all its worth. After driving and operating several others, I would buy this same tractor again. BEAR

Very nice equipment at very reasonable prices....I own a FarmPro 8240. Much more (better quality) than I expected. The Chinese are learning (improving quality) quickly.

I wonder if you bought your tractor NEW or USED ? if new, what was the
waranty you get on it ??
last year on a different tractor, I was offered 1500 motor-hour or 12 month

I wonder what Foton offer on waranty.

I also saw some discussion on this web site, someone saying ek Johnson
(http://www.ekjohnson.com/)
was selling in Fact Foton under their name. Is that true ? How can I be
sure it's Foton ?

and since I want a multi use tractor, what about additional equipment, does

Foton allow multi configuration on some model ?

plow,harrow etc?

The 20 series Farm Pro tractors are Foton. We have a 70HP cab tractor in stock now and it is a lot of tractor for the money, heat and air, lots of opening ventilation for those mild days, way under $20K, Great running engine! We also have a 40HP Farm Pro/foton and it is a nice tractor also. Homier backs all current model Farm Pro tractors with 2 year 2000 hour warranty also. You should do a lot of research, compare specs, etc. Some importers have been overstating the manufacturers rated HP, selling the 20HP Y380 engine as a 25HP, etc. so be careful who you choose to do business with.

I bought mine new, with a one year warranty. I believe that the manufacture carries a 90 day, and the dealer offers the rest. On some of the plates, located on inner fenders, frame, etc, it says Fution, which is Foton now, /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I think. You can use about anything on this tractor you want, I have a backhoe on it right now, but also have a tiller, bush hog, harrow, disc, and grade box. If I had it to do over, I would!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Purchased mine from a distributor in Indiana...he's on the Farm Pro list of authorized distributors. Warranty is 2000 hrs. or two years whichever comes 1st. Great tracotr. You can attach any implement you want to the tractor. Foton is sold under a variety of trade names and private labels.
