In Sweden, the distributor does concentrate on fewer Foton tractor models for the market, i.e. skip the 60hp for the similar 70hp, and skip the 80hp for the 90hp. The only difference is the horse power, all else are identical on these. Additionally we also get the 40hp in Sweden as well as one 25hp with a cabin and one without. Foton is the #8 on the Swedish sales ranking list, both last year and this year, even if they increased the number of tractor sales 2010H1 with 11% over the same period last year..
We have the FT404 since last year, ~210 hours runtime, and has been a real useful workhorse throughout this time. Like you we have a front end loader (FEL) and a backhoe (BH). All engine, gearbox, hydraulic cylinders and hoses are dry with no leakage at all, which is impressive in our mind. During this time, of course we have had a few warranty repair items, but nothing worrying.
We are missing the AC-heated cabin during winter, but when using the backhoe and running between the two seats, we do appreciate the open design of the tractor.
