I got forks mounted on the boys Deere. They are a bit large but the price was right. No build pics but it took a lot of head scratching. Te top rail is supposed to have notches in it for the upper pins but didn't cut them in. On every forklift I have used I have hated those pins especially with heavy forks.

I replace pins constantly at work, depending on what you use them for you should be fine.
As long as you get the upper lip hanging on the carriage or attachment. I actually mounted a set on my quick attach loader on my SCUT.

The bottom lip is flush, but will work for picking up. I say You’ll be able to pickup a good amount of weight.

I have similar forks with the same type pins. My top rail has the slots for the pins. Last year the top came off one of the pins and the pin fell out and the spring got lost. I've been using them without the one pin without any problems. The top and bottom of my forks ride on a track and the only way the fork can come off is if it slides to the middle. So far they don't slide without some force to adjust the width.
Looks like you did a nice job and welcome to TBN..............

Well done. I also got some free worn out forks that are way too heavy for my tractor and made a frame from scraps and left overs. Ran out of time to enclose the ends so ground two notches near the ends for the pins will snap into them before sliding all the way off. Our property is fairly level so hasn't been an issue with the forks sliding around without more notches across the middle.IMG_20161120_104923.jpeg

If you make a channel or catch to hold the lower section of the forks, they will never go anywhere, you won’t even need the pin.

Thanks all, The forks have a built in angle that slides over the bottom rail and the forks have to slid to the middle to remove.

I made a fixture to put forklift forks on my 3510 Branson and have found many uses for them.
What I really like is if I am picking up brush and tree clippings when I go to dump the forks point straight down!
