JD 2210
I've been thinking about possibly getting some kind of forlift arrangement for my 210 loader on my 2210. Either the full up version that JD has, or the tines that can be attached to the bucket.

In the 210 manual, it shows the forklift as an option, but there isn't any P/N or model# associated with it. So I went to the JD site in an attempt find the price but again, couldn't find a single P/N for it. Just for grins, I added up the prices of all of the parts indivudually. It totaled up to a price of around $1800. Anyone know what the price really is?

Anyone got a source for the bucket mounted tines? and how much do they typically cost?

Has anyone put either of these types on their 2210 or any other CUT.

Bill ,

Here is a link for bucket forks. It has been advertized on TBN Site last week. Looks nice and well made and the price is right /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Cadblaster,
I have the JD fork system. They are nice, however, if I had it all to do over, I would get the clamp on forks and save $600.

Could you please clarify, does that mean that the JD fork system is $900?

Is anyone using the clamp-on forks? If so, what tasks are you doing with the forks, and do you like them?

Cadblaster,
My forks for a 4200 with a 420 FEL listed at $1005. in April 2001. The medium duty clamp ons that were advertised last week went for just under $400.

I doubt the JD forklift attachment is much cheaper for the 2210. That kind of money just isn't in the budget right now. I think I'd rather spend it on the clamp-on forks, and then later, a folding ROPS.

So suggestions requested again.

If I were to get the clamp on forks for my 2210 (53" bucket), should I get the light or medium duty tines. The light duty tines exceed the rated capacity for the 210 loader, so would there be any other advantages to go with the med. duty?
The light duty were just under $290 with shipping.

I think the clamp-ons have an additional benefit in that they are compact and therefore have a minimal storage "presence". This goes a long way to curb the problem I have with the wife's complaint about too many things for the tractor without a good place to put them.

Reasons/Justifications on why I'd like to get forks.
1.Offloading the P/U of large heavy items (like more attachemnts /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif )
2.Moving lumber when construction begins on the shed, and deck
3.construction tool, use it to raise walls (fully built) and bring
roof sheathing and shingles up to roof edge.
4. moving things that just won't fit in the bucket.
