here is a pto shaft I drove over and bought at my local TSC then returned .

WEASLER 4 SERIES 37" DRIVESHAFT ASSEMBLY $ 349.99

Here is one I found online same manufacturer and model no

Weasler 4 Series Rotary Cutter Driveline Assembly (Length: 37") at Blain's Farm & Fleet $ 168.99

And here is what I bought from Agri supply

PTO Shaft, Series 4, 1-3/8 6-Spline, 1-3/8 Round | Agri Supply #61196 $ 62.95
And bought a slip clutch for $ 59.00
With shipping all in less than $ 150.00

Unless I need it in a hurry , no more tractor supply for me

Yeah, I used to buy quite a bit there, but over the last few years, they have gotten more out of range on prices. Even with the 10% off coupon I get from time to time, I find it hard to buy much there.

Their dog food prices aren't bad. Their implements have gotten really really cheap (and not in a good way) and prices are too high. Sometimes I can buy bulk chemicals for a decent price but most of the time the local farm service store has better prices.

Congratulations: You have made an important discovery with those two businesses!
I bought a King Kutter tiller from one of those companies for $710 less than the price quoted by a company who advertises here on TBN.
Both Agri Supply and Blain's have EXCELLENT pricing, and both are EXCELLENT companies to deal with.

Been there done that, I forgot the prices but I bought a Cat2 pin from Tractor Supply then I saw the exact same pins for less than half the price at Agri Supply lucky I had been busy enough I hadn't used them an was able to return them.

Problem is at least for me is shipping. I just talked to them for a diesel tank which to ship it added another 95.00 to the bill. Better to pay TSC here.

I live close enough I don't ship

Your TSC link is for the TSC line of stores in Canada. The Tractor Supply Co link for that same item shows it $100 cheaper here in the US. Weasler Metric Driveline, BYPY 4 Series, 37 in. - For Life Out Here
Still a big difference even if shopping Tractor Supply here in the states. I go to Rural King 99% of the time now. They don't show the exact item online, but their website is horrible. They do have much better pricing on some things though.

TSC (Speeco)cat 1 to cat 2 adaptor for QH...$32.00- Mills (also Speeco)...$20.00

I bought a Mighty Mule Double Gate Opener at TSC for $599. 33 days later I saw a TSC ad on here for the same opener for $499.
I sent them an email about the $100. difference and got an answer back that they don't compete with on line prices and besides I waited longer than 30 days!!
That piece of garbage opener died a few weeks after the warranty expired too.
To send the operator back for repair I would have to dig up my driveway to remove it. They were too cheap to put a wire connector on it!
I cuss both of them every time I come or go from my property!

I find their prices a little high also and limit what I buy from them. However I can't find cheaper Bolts and nuts anywhere else where I live. Buying bolts online is more or less out of range by time shipping is added. Fastenal is where I buy bolts that TSC don't carry.

There's a REASON they are cheaper!!

I've had enough grade 8 bolts fail from TSC that I no longer even trust their hard bolts!!

I will buy soft bolts from them or family farm, but I ONLY buy grade 8 bolts from a RELIABLE nut/bolt supplier!

TSC is good for bird food and cheapo Chinese tools and not much else...

I call it Tough ****te Charlie's, where everything is either scratched, dented or broken.....

The 'sales associates' play dodgem with the forklift and your stuff is the bumpers.

Agri-Supply for me, even with shipping.

I won't buy anything from Northern. Shipping too high and another emporium for Chinese crap.

We have a new TSC here. I have to be desperate to buy there. Their prices are 20-40% above the competition on just about everything. And they refuse to provide the 10% Military Discount their competition provides. We have an area Farmers COOP that I use a lot; they also have a True Value Hardware franchise that is handy along with large supply of graded bolts by the #. The old days of the real farmer/hardware store is gone. Have to go 4 places to get all the pieces for a project. I buy a lot at NAPA as they give me their fleet price for my military discount. Amazing the markup on some stuff like filters and lubricants.

I pick up a few things there but you have to shop around and check prices. I got my carryall there and a 50 gal fuel tank. most of the time I shop elsewhere. The could be a great store with a few changes but my guess is in a few years they will be gone. Ed

TSC has always been high on PTO stuff. Agrisupply is about the cheapest I have found, and have bought a few off them

But they are about the only store around here that sells farm type stuff, and alot of their items aint priced too bad, Just depends on what you are looking for I guess.

Their 3PH pins/bushing/adapters, toplinks, etc are all reasonable.

I use their 5gal buckets of traveller UTF

Fence posts are usually cheaper there than any of the home improvement box stores

Batteries are about the same price as the auto parts stores, but TSC carries the big 4dlt batteries like used in the backhoes.

Like I said, it all just depends on what you are looking for.

I refuse to buy any pet food there because I have no idea where it is made.

Lowest bidder got the contract and the whole store smells like China (plastic) to me.

I find that hitch pins and most 3PH accesories are made in China and my local Agway has the same stuff only all USA made for 1/3 less money so I would rather shop local and USA made.

Nearest Agway to me is 130 miles. Pretty much stuck with Dealer, Northern or TSC.
Not impressed with either. Limited choices or junk made.
