ford Tractor 1972 gas 3 cyl.

Tractor stop running won"t start . Replaced gas pump,blew out gas lines ,rebult carb. new gaskets on carb and intake, replaced gasket on intaken man. tractor won"t start , engine will turn over with starter running but will not fire. Gas going into carb.,spark from spark plug but gas will not ignite. Is it the carbis shot or what?

you say it has spark..

test that again.

if it has spark, use start fluid sprayed into carb mouth to see if it will start or even pop.

if it has spark, and the valves are working and you have ANY compression, you should at least get pops.

if no pops, check carb moth and plug holes for compression.

Have you checked for compression? Might want to take the valve cover off to see if the valve train is working.

reset fly wheel on "0" set distrebutor on number one fireing order put hand over carb.throut felt air beng sucked in but no firing is it possible thr carb. is set wrong?

took plugs out layed in row turned key they fired 123 roter is coming up on #1 agin Fly wheel is seting on 4 deg.before TDC

What does the spark look like? Nice hot blue spark? And sparking between the tips? or is it weak orangish spark, and possibly sparking between electrode and threads, and not where it is supposed to?

Try the starting fluid trick like soundguy mentioned. Should get something. If you do, it tells you its fuel related. IF you get nothing, you got ignition issues.

Also, what do the plugs look like when you pull them out after trying? if you are trying to start it for a bit, and pull a plug and its bone dry, you likely aint getting fuel.
