Been looking for a while and finally saw one at online auction 400 miles away. Threw a low bid and actually won !! Decided a Uship bid was worth it and a week later it was delivered. Almost perfect deal...but that`s another story.
I didn`t know if it run or not but having experience with Shibaura Diesel in my 1500 and Shibaura 1400 I thought I was worth the risk. Once I figured out proper settings for the levers and seat safety switch about 10 second of starter and it cranked right up. Rode it around a little bit and all seemed to work except mower deck PTO. The springs for the tension idler pulley and belts for the PTO are missing...but available from my local NH dealer.
Little 3 cylinder just purrs....although it is spitting some water after about 10 minutes of wide open running.....well check into that. Right off the bat I`m looking for the 3PT hitch parts and the Rear PTO parts to add if anybody knows of any please let me know. May have to get another machine to get these parts. Also need the rear fender section if I can find one due to shipper damage. So far I`m pretty pleased with what I`ve seen so far. Heres some pics....the tag is for the deck is probably the worst thing I`ve seen so far but workable.
Let me know what ya`ll think and let me know if you know of some "bones "that might be around. Saw one for sell on EBay yesterday for $2800 so feeling pretty good so far.
