Hey everyone, hoping to get confirmation that this is a Ford 205 Disc Harrow. The blue paint isn't original , but there are several layers of paint and they all appear to be blue. I'm looking for a manufacturer/model number to get a parts diagram, as I don't typically work on these and I like to have a good understanding of how they work, what's missing, recommended maintenance intervals, etc.
I know a lot of disc/harrow parts are interchangeable, but I'm hoping some of you can let me know where you get parts from. I don't have a ford dealer in town anymore. I need to replace a few of the slotted discs, and while I can find many online, none seem to have the rather large 3'' center hole. I also know not all discs are the same, so do any of the aftermarket brands or vendors on here make a better quality blade than another? I get worried when I see 14'' and 16" discs for $8.99, fearing the quality of the metal is just poor.

I have not used the disc enough to know if all the bearings are good, and several of the discs are loose, so hopefully I can get them tightened up once I get the new disc's installed.

Thanks for any and all help! IMG_6024.JPGIMG_6023 2.JPGIMG_6025.JPG

Agri Supply inventories more Disc Harrow parts than any other vender.

The blades don’t have 3” center holes, those are one with the centers broken out, you will need to remove one of the nuts on the end of one axle and slide the first spool off to see what shape and size axle shaft you have.

A location more specific than ZANESVILLE in your T-B-N PROFILE would be helpful.
Freight may be more than parts, or may not.

Agreed! Changed it just now to reflect Ohio!

Thanks for that advice, I looked at it this evening and confirmed your advice. Time to get out the torch and wrenches.

I looked for a video or two on you tube, there are a few that are ok but most you may just fast forward through to the parts were they are actually removing the axle nuts, spools and blades. You’ll figure it out pretty easy once you get started. As for parts and blades I agree with Jeff agrisuppy is good for just about everything you should need.

Very good TerryR! most people just remember us for the Terry Thompson situation a few years back where he released all the lions, tigers, and bears, etc!

Well, I was able to get the gangs off the frame, and to my surprise , a pipe wrench and a large crescent was all I needed to get them apart. The schematic breakdown I have seen for the 202 disc shows an actual steel bearing, but from what I could tell, there are no actual bearings inside the main bearing housing where the grease zerks are, or in the bearing roller. The roller just fits snuggly over keyed shaft. All in all the gangs appear to be in good shape. I will try to had some pictures later.

Agri supply has the 18" notched and plain discs. They are all from India or Brazil. Brazil made is about 5 bucks more per disc, so I'm assuming carbon content is greater. I can get a 3.5mm, 18" notched disc from brazil for 18 bucks, but the only 18'' plain/smooth disc they have is 3mm. I'm hoping the rear plain discs can be thinner, but its really my only option unless I find another vendor.

The crappy thing is ground shipping ads about $9 per disc, but I'm sure they aren't light. I tried to find them local the the JD dealership, but all they had was square hole. I considered trying to use a larger square hole from JD, as there is no key in the discs as they slide onto the shaft, and the only thing that keeps the discs stationary is the larger diameter of the spacer, but I don't want to have to take this apart again if they don't work.
