I recently purchased a 7108 loader. The decal says Ford. The metal plate says New Holland 7108 Serial # YL875118.

Just curious what year loader this is, I want to get a owners manual.

Thanks

I want to say the year is the first digit of the serial number, but not sure. There is only one manual available though: 43591002

Scanned a few ppg (specs, troubleshooting) from my NH 43591002 (9/96) to .pdf. (vs blotchy .jpg)

Turned out well, clear. Print nice on my Brother B&W laser, no blobs, blushes, voids ...

How to send .pdfs to OP? (Can do whole book, easy ...) tog

Probably right around the switchover year, about 1994? Not sure if I have that right but mine is a 1993 and it's all labelled Ford.

If it really is a Ford, the first two characters (alpha) was an internal supplier ID. If they are not both alpha then they are NH and their system.

The Ford / New Holland 7108 loader was used on many Ford and New Holland tractors from 1987 to I believe in the early 2000's. You might call the dealer in the below link who might be able to pin down the year better or contact Messicks if you just need parts.

The 7108 never was a factory match for any New Holland branded tractor with the exception of a very few late 20 series tractors that carried the NH decals. The 7308 replaced the 7108 and was designed for the 1925, 1630 and other original Boomer models. They also fit (more or less) the 20 series models that the 7108 was designed for. A 7308 with original style mounts on a 1920 with R-1 tires would barely put the bucket flat on the ground and would not at all dig below grade with the bucket flat. Then the front mount was redesigned a little to fix that problem. I always thought a 7108 was more robust then the 7308. SMC built both models for CNH.

That's what I read in Tractordata. They claim the Ford 1720, NH 1920, and NH 1520 all used the 7108 loader.

I have a 7108 on my NH 1925

I'm pretty sure my Ford 1720 is supposed to have the 7108, but it has a 770b instead.
