I am new to this site and am hoping to gather some information on my tractor. Just purchased a 1993 Ford 6640 SLE at auction for $4200. Tractor only has 2800 hrs. and looks like new but tractor was inoperable when I bought it due to transmission problems. Got it home and changed all fluids started engine and put in gear and would not move. Recalibrated clutches and everything is fine now. Has the 16 x 16 transmission and all gears shift as they should now. Ended up getting a heck of a deal on this but now the alarm is beeping when I turn the key off. I can get it to stop by turning the left or right blinker on. Anyone have any idea why it would be doing this? The alarm is under the dash and I thought about just unhooking it but thought it might be an easy problem to fix if I just knew what the problem was. Also would like to know what this Tractor might be worth? Has new Tires all the way around, paint is excellent and runs well. No cab just a canopy. Thanks in advance for your help.

Is the emergency brake switch working? If it isn't, then the alarm is indicating that the e-brake is not set, whether it is or not.
Possible value $10-12,000. as a non-cab unit, 2wd.

You hit the nail on the head. Removed the rubber boot on the parking brake and discovered the switch was unhooked. Plugged it back in and the alarm went off. Thanks a Million. That saved me a lot of trouble. Couple of more questions about the same tractor. When I bought it the handle or knob whatever it is called is missing on the center shifting lever as well as the switch to upshift and downshift. Found the switch up in Wisconsin but they were unable to find the knob. Any idea where I could purchase a new one? Missing the draft control knob as well. Also when calibrating the clutches I was unable to calibrate the C1 and C2 clutch packs (Springs). Followed the instructions in the manual and keep getting a U25 code for some reason. According to the manual the high low shift lever is supposed to be in neutral and the U25 code states high low shift lever not in high range. I'm really confused here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I did not get back sooner, been a little busy. The Hi-Lo knob looks to be still available. Did you go to a New Holland dealer or have you been online at New Holland?
The U25 code indicates that it is in low gear. I'm thinking that the lever is out of adjustment so that it appears to be neutral is actually in low. Either adjust the lever OR move the lever towards Hi and find where the actual neutral is so that the Lo switch isn't triggering.
