Gents,
Hoping to not spend another Winter where I'll be tempted to use this beautiful Dearborn model 19-3 snow plow again.
Plan is to put the plow and all it's periphery up for sale, to be replaced with a proper bumper to help keep us from even thinking about putting anything back out front again, lol
Ok, so the question I have is: How do I remove the hydraulic lines from where they attach where the lift lever is just in front of the seat and plug or cap the tappings in that valve block (nomenclature?) so as to not cause any damage to the pump or anything else in that valve block?
There aren't quick disconnects, so I'm guessing I could just use pipe plugs for what looks to be 1/2" NPT? I'm just concerned about blowing anything out internally if I plug those tappings and someone moves that lift lever with the tappings plugged.
I guess another approach would be to eliminate that lift lever and vale assembly altogether, but what the heck would I replace it with?
Sorry for the elementary grade question, problem is I've only ever known this tractor to have that plow mounted up front even when the tractor was being used for bush hoggin.
Thanks fellas.
Mel
