Just wondering what everyone's opinion was on this tractor? The CL post said it comes with a loader too. Trying to get in touch with the seller to see if it has the dual power transmission and the loader model. It would be nice if the loader had the front mount pump, but I suspect it probably doesn't. Not necessarily in the market for another tractor and this one is a little bigger than what I want longterm, but doesn't hurt to get educated. I'm thinking the 4wd option might have been a little more rare on this series/model of tractor too. Thanks in advance for any help.

I would question why none of the pictures show a loader. I know that the Fords were good tractors, but not sure that I would be be willing to spend 9k on that tractor.

I see the mounting brackets for the loader. Looking at the shift levers I suspect this is the 4 & 2 gear shift transmission. We had a 1978, 5600 and it was good running machine. Worked great on the baler, cultivating, planting etc..

I like to think long term sometimes and if was ever to buy a bigger piece of property down the road with my brothers this would be a decent machine without being too over-imposing. The loader would be nice for moving round bales on a piece of property like that too. I'm going to try an give them a call sometime tomorrow and see what is up with this machine. Thanks for sharing your experience/opinion of the machine. Btw, was yours a 4wd?

No it was a 2wd. This was our main utility tractor for running the baler, hauling manure, hauling silage wagons, etc. We didn't have duals for it so it saw very little tillage work. Tillage was done with the old 5000 or White 2-85 which both had duals.

Our 5600 was a very good at starting in cold weather.
