Backhoe ford 5550

Hello, this is my first post on this forum and I'm hoping someone can help me out. I have a 1970's ford 5550 that was given to me because it was in bad shape and did not run. i got it running and have been using it on my farm for a couple of years. I have tried to get a shop manual off ebay or the internet a couple of time and never get the right manual! I have manuals for farm tractor's, 5500's etc and none are the one I need. Does anyone know what the 5550 means and what the differences are with a 5500 etc, and where I can get a manual? I need to do a brake job on this thing before I get killed and I would really like a manual to look at before I attempt the job. Thank you in advance for your time, Tom

as far as the brakes a manual for a 5500 backhoe should work since the two machines is pretty much exactly the same just the 5550 is the next series

When I bought my '85 555 TLB, I ordered a complete set of manuals thru my local New Holland dealer. I have the operator,service and parts manual for it. I am sure that I could have got them a little cheaper somewhere on the internet. Anyway that is another option for you.
